In July 2022, Sustainable Harvest International (SHI) Belize launched Scaling Positive Agriculture (SPA), a new project that forges cross-sector alliances to promote biodiverse agroforestry systems in the northern districts of Belize.
Through partnerships and alliances, SPA will train a significant segment of Belize’s farming population as they adopt climate-friendly farming practices that provide a viable alternative to conventional agriculture.
2022 was a banner year for Sustainable Harvest International (SHI). We celebrated 25 years of farming for a just and sustainable future. It was also a year of positive momentum towards the organization’s visions of scaling up through an expansion of core programs, the launch of several pilot projects, and the cultivation of new partnerships.
