The greatest joy of my work is seeing the positive changes SHI participants are making in their lives. My next greatest joy is sharing those stories of hope with people like you who generously support this work. I am sure that you will enjoy these stories in the spring edition of our newsletter, La Cosecha.

For all the wonderful stories of success that I have witnessed since starting Sustainable Harvest International in 1997, there is still so much more to be done. Each day we lose approximately seven species from our tropical forests forever. This extinction of plants and animals, largely caused by agricultural expansion, is only one of the many negative consequences of tropical deforestation.

YOU CAN STOP THE DESTRUCTION. Every day Sustainable Harvest International receives requests from families who want to be able to grow more food on their land without cutting down more of the forest. It takes just $25 a month to provide a family with the long-term training and support they need to help themselves. A donation of $250 a month supports our work with an entire community.
